The IDG - Gender Institute
The Gender Institute is a Scientific Interest Group (GIS) founded in 2012 by the Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and bringing together 33 partner institutions.
The Institute is hosted by and works together with the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Paris North.
Composed of Joint Research Units (UMR), as well as research teams with an explicit focus on gender, the Institute represents a key reference in the coordination and scholarly reception of French research on gender and sexuality.
