To gain in-depth knowledge of critical research in social work; to obtain theoretical knowledge in the field of study of disability, ethnicity, migration, social work perspectives and the history of social work ideas; to enable students to use acquired knowledge and skills with an emphasis on critical reflective thinking concerning the social work practice; to enable students to understand the various dimensions of discrimination, inequality and exclusion in pluralist societies, with special emphasis on the inclusive welfare system based on social justice; helping to develop greater social openness for the integration of disabled people, ethnic minorities and refugees; to strive for more gender equality in social and other public, private and governmental institutions; to enable students to understand the historical development of social work methods and social welfare institutions.
