The Faculty of Philosophy and Education (Department of Education), the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Philology and Cultural Studies offer a position of a University Assistant prae doc in the section Gender Studies (Chair : Univ.-Prof. Dr. Sabine Grenz).
The three faculties work closely together with each other as well as the Gender Research Office.
Duration of employment : 3 year/s
Extent of Employment : 30 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement : §48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.
Job Description :
We are looking for a staff member with sound qualification in Gender Studies (or another discipline with proven knowledge of the interdisciplinary research area) and (as far as possible) evident scientific interest and experience in research and teaching in the context of interdisciplinary Gender Studies (preferably in one of the three areas of epistemologies and methodologies, science history of Gender Studies, religion/secularity). The applicant should have the clear intention to do a doctorate and be interested in inter-/post-disciplinary studies. They should be able to work in a team and relate well to others. They will have the chance to work with a motivated team dedicated to research, and to contribute significantly to the conceptual development of the field "Gender Studies". Apart from research and teaching, the position involves participation in issues of university administration.

Willingness to carry out a PhD project in Gender Studies
Sound knowledge of the status quo of research and methods of interdisciplinary Gender Studies
Interest in interdisciplinary Gender Studies
High command of written and oral language
Excellent command of English
Ability to work in a team
Experience in teaching / experience in e-learning
Knowledge of university structures and processes
