Fundraising campaign for long-term research missions abroad, open from 25 February to 8 April 2020. Young doctors and PhD students can apply.
In order to encourage the international mobility of young researchers, the GIS Institut du Genre is launching a campaign to support long research missions abroad. This action replaces the previous campaigns of mobility grants for young researchers.
These grants are reserved for stays abroad of several months and hosted by a foreign university or research centre.
These missions may involve observations, interviews, archive research, library research or the development of collaboration with foreign researchers on a joint project.
Three grants of EUR 5 000 each for a stay of 3 to 6 months will be awarded. Missions abroad will be mandatory in 2020.
This support concerns exclusively PhD students and post-doctoral researchers attached to universities and institutions within the Gender Institute partner network (see Partner institutions).
Applications will be evaluated on the basis of their quality and scientific interest. Support will be awarded to innovative research projects in the field of gender, to work at the current frontiers of the field.
The application for funding consists of the following elements :
the attached form completed,
a letter of invitation from a foreign university or research centre
a letter of recommendation from a statutory member of the applicant’s research unit in France
Please note: The allocated funding is not paid into the laureate’s account; expenses are paid directly and progressively, according to the rules and procedures of the CNRS.
Closing date for applications : 8 April 2020 at midnight
