Founded after the Great War by female academics, who were convinced that girls’ education was both a factor of peace and key to women’s empowerment, the AFFDU (French Association of Graduate Women) brings together female graduates from different areas of higher education (universities, grandes ├ęcoles, engineering schools) who have obtained at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.

As part of different national and international networks, the AFFDU is involved in work focusing on girl’s education, life-long education and the promotion of educated women.
