The Institut du Genre is setting up a new scientific residency program for researchers working in a foreign university wishing to stay in France to carry out research on gender and sexuality and/or to establish cooperations with French teams working on these themes.
The scientific residencies, which last from one to four months, are intended for researchers at least at the post-doctoral level who have their own funds to finance their stay (funding from their university of origin, grants from researcher exchange programs, etc.)
The Gender Institute will provide the researcher with a workstation on the Condorcet Campus in Aubervilliers, and will integrate, as far as possible, the researcher in its scientific activities.
The researcher undertakes to acknowledge the Institute’s support in all publications resulting from the research conducted during the scientific residency.
The application, to be sent to the Gender Institute’s management, must include the following elements:
- a curriculum vitae
- a letter of motivation indicating the dates of the stay and the program of activities planned in the French universities and research organizations that are partners of the IdG during this stay;
- a research project of about 3 pages;
- a certificate from the institution financing the stay, including the amount of the grant or funds, and the expected duration of their use.
Applications are examined by the management three times a year, and the deadlines for submitting applications are October 10 for stays starting the following January 1; February 10 for stays starting the following May 1; June 10 for stays starting the following September 1.
