Searching for book reviews

The *Iowa Journal of Cultural Studies*, a peer-reviewed academic journal edited by graduate students at the University of Iowa and dedicated to publishing cultural studies scholarship from both established and emerging scholars, is currently soliciting book reviews for our upcoming special issue : Transition/Transgress. The deadline for reviews is December 1st, 2017.

We are particularly interested in reviews of the following texts :

*In The Wake : On Blackness and Being, *Christina Sharpe (Duke 2016)

*Queer Philologies : Sex, Language, and Affect in Shakespeare’s Time, *Jeffrey
Masten (UPenn 2016)

*No Tea, No Shade : New Writings in Black Queer Studies, *edited by E.
Patrick Johnson (Duke 2016)

*Conflict Resolution for Holy Beings*, Joy Harjo (Norton 2015)

*Sing, Unburied, Sing, *Jesmyn Ward (Simon & Schuster 2017)

Proposed reviews are not limited to these texts, but we do ask that reviews be of material published within the last two years or so. Reviews should be between 1,000-2,000 words and follow the style guidelines, found here :
