Publié le 16 janvier par Institut du Genre

Looking for people working on cancer from a gender, queer and/or feminist perspective, to submit a proposal for a thematic panel for the 10th European Feminist Research Conference, 12-15 September 2018, expressions of interest by 21 Jan 2018.

We are two early career researchers – an historian and an anthropologist – interested in breast cancer and its gendered dimensions.

We are planning to submit a proposal for a thematic panel to the 10th European Feminist Research Conference “Difference, Diversity, Diffraction : Confronting Hegemonies and Dispossessions” that will be held in Göttingen (Germany) on the 12th-15th September 2018 (https://www.uni-goettingen.de/en/cfp/573020.html) and we are looking for two more people working on cancer from a gender, queer and/or feminist perspective.

The panel is intended for the stream 9 Healing/Coping/Caring (https://www.uni-goettingen.de/en/574625.html) and is tentatively titled “Gender and cancer : political movements and contentious definitions”.

The aim of the panel is to explore the relations between cancer, gender and the different forms of political actions and redefinitions surrounding this condition.

If you are interested, please send a short presentation of your work and your bio by the 21st of January to grazia.demichele [at] edu.unige.it and cinzia.greco [at] manchester.ac.uk
