"Young Researcher" Grants to present at the International Congress in Feminist Research in the French-speaking World, Montréal, August 2015.

Young Researcher Mobility Grants

In order to encourage the mobility of young researchers, the GIS Gender Institute provides one-time and limited funding for international projects, existing or under development (planned conferences, doctoral workshop projects, organising sessions or panels at international conferences, developing scientific projects, organising international summer schools, etc.).

Within this framework, the GIS Gender Institute launched an exceptional funding campaign for young researchers to participate in the International Congress in Feminist Research in the French-speaking World, taking place in Montréal in August 2015 (http://cirff2015.uqam.ca/).

Because of the strategic scientific importance of the 7th International Congress in Feminist Research in the French-speaking World (Montréal, 24th-28th August 2015) and following its goal of promoting French research on gender and sexuality internationally, the GIS Gender Institute has launched a quick funding campaign to help finance related projects.

These funds are available to young PhD graduates who are no longer able to take advantage of the funding offered by their former doctoral institutions, as well as for doctoral students who do not receive sufficient funds from their own departments or doctoral schools. Priority will be given to young researchers whose proposals have already been accepted by the Congress.

The funding application should include a letter stating the reasons for applying, abstracts of the papers to be delivered, an acceptance letter (if applicable), a brief provisional budget and a letter of reference written by a permanent member of the applicant’s research unit. Please send all documents by email to the following address: sg-gis-idgenre@mshparisnord.fr

The campaign opens on 8 April 2015 and closes at midnight on 20 May 2015.
